ACTHA Photo Jewelry

I started working on this piece yesterday. The photo locket is double-side. The photo in view is of one of the last Stallions from the Coyote Canyon Herd that was removed by the BLM from Southern California in 2003. Feathers - graciously collected from my birds. The black and white feather is from my original Barred Rock (what a great egg layer she is!!); the other blue and red feathers have been freely donated by my blue and gold Macaw - Rocky. Horse tail - from Harley my 4 yr old chestnut Arab. The turquoise and abalone chain came from a pair of dangly ear rings I picked up while on a trip to Hoover damn. They are taking on a new persona in this piece. Not finished yet. I need to decide how this will be worn and I want t work on the connection between the photo locket and the feathers/tail.
